Business Come Dancing

Morris Lane was delighted to support a gala event at The Hotel Piccadilly on 12 May to raise funds for Wessex Cancer Trust.  A packed audience cheered on 8 local business people as they performed a mixture of Latin and ballroom dances with professional dance partners in front of a panel of judges.

Chartered Management Accountant, Emily Johnson (third left in photo) was our glamorous dancer for the evening performing a tango with her professional dance partner.

Andy Lear from HSBC, with his dance partner Rebecca from Studio B, performed a fantastic energetic  jive to the music ‘Footloose’ and achieved 4 straight 10's from the judges to win the trophy.

The other brave participants were Steve Cook from Seeker Photography, Jo West from Team Recruitment, Keith Fensom from Savills, Sue Langley from Coastal Direct Marketing Solutions, Richard Cossey from Humphries Kirk and Karen Rickman from Parcelhub.

Karen Rhys, Fundraising Manager at Wessex Cancer Trust said "the competitors were brilliant and their dancing exceeded everyone’s expectations, given the fact that they only had a couple of weeks in which to train. We are very grateful to them, the dance professionals and all who supported the event, and I am pleased to announce we have raised almost £6000 for local cancer patients and their families"
