Dorset Care Home sold

Morris Lane, Chartered Accountants with a specialism in the care sector, have helped new owner Kandiah Vijaykumar to complete on the purchase of Eastbury House care home in Sherborne, Dorset.

The home is situated across two floors with two rooms in annexes within the grounds. It is registered for 20 residents, with each enjoying their own room. The home was previously owned by Pat Appleyard, who has retired after 45 years running Eastbury House. CQC rated the home as Good across four of the KLOE with an Outstanding achieved for Responsiveness. Having operated to this high standard, the fulltime manager remains in place, along with her well established team of dedicated staff.

This is the second home that Morris Lane have successfully assisted Mr Vijaykumar to purchase, having originally been introduced by Phillipa Biddlecombe who sold him Highfield House in Castle Cary. Highfield House is registered for 22 residents and rated as Outstanding by CQC.

Mr Vijaykumar said of his latest transaction 'I am thrilled that I have been able to purchase Eastbury House and would like to thank my advisers, including Morris Lane and Chandler & Co, for helping to get this deal over the line. I will be looking to build on the existing reputation of quality of care for which Eastbury House is known'.

Finance was arranged via Chandler & Co with Mr Vijaykumar using Doug Stewart from Adams & Remers for his legal work. Morris Lane, Chandler & Co and Adams & Remers are all members of the Buyacarehome group whose members are all specialist in the Care Home sector.
